July 2017 Favorites!

Welcome to Raspberry Reyna! We're going to be showing you our day to day life, with awesome tips and advice to make your time here on this awesome earth the best! Hey, I'm Reyna and I'll be your tour guide of this awesome blog! Let's start off with some July favorites of mine! This month was really productive for me, and I can't wait to share more of it with you!

1. Something In Between by Melissa De La Cruz

I loved this book so so so so so much! I read it on my Kindle Paperwhite, so I wasn't able to take a colored picture. Enjoy this stock photo maybe?
This is definitely my favorite cover of the book. :)
I think everyone should try to get their hands on this book. It really shines a light on undocumented immigrants, and even if you don't necessarily agree with points mentioned in the book, I think it's still beneficial and enjoyable for anyone. It sucked me in to the point where I couldn't put it down, and finished it in about two days. Just read it, okay? This is probably my favorite book I have read all summer and I absolutely LOVE Melissa De La Cruz's writing!

2. The Lavendaire Lifestyle Podcast

This podcast was created by Aileen Xu, and it's all about designing your dream life! Each episode in this podcast has a different lesson to learn and it's so relaxing and motivating. I love listening to this so I can go to bed/start my day positive and while filming stopmotions. I don't want to say to much about it because you can't really put this podcast into one category. It features stories, interviews, lessons, and so much more! I'll link to this podcast on iTunes *here* though it is available on many other sites. It is phenomenal, and you need to listen to it!

3. Square Shooter 2 Land Camera (Polaroid Camera)

I don't know if I'm actually credible to add this to my list, but I love this so much! No, I haven't ever taken a picture with it. :P But this is a great collectors item if you are into photography like me! The Square Shooter 2 is an instant Polaroid camera, made in the 1960's. It is super retro and I had fun figuring out what each of the buttons were for! I found this camera at a local Trash 4 Treasure sale, but you may be able to find it at any thrift shop or garage sale!

4. Wires and Nerve Vol. 1 by Marissa Meyer

I read this book also on my kindle!

Wires and Nerve is the first graphic novel written by bestselling author, Marissa Meyer. If you didn't know, Marissa Meyer wrote the series: The Lunar Chronicles (I HIGHLY recommend you read that!!!) This graphic novel continues on the story but in the Iko's perspective. Iko is Cinder (main character from, "The Lunar Chronicles") best friend. You will fall in love with this book and the characters- trust me on this! The book was pretty short, it only took me about two hours to read. I guess I'm more trying to persuade you to read The Lunar Chronicles, and every single book by Marissa Meyer. (They are all FANTABULOUS.)Wires and Nerve is a sequel series to The Lunar Chronicles. :)

5. Jansport Digital Student "Triangle Dot" Backpack

It's that time of year! I'm going to be going back to school in about a week and a half 😩I am so not ready for the summer to be over! Anyways, I got a new backpack and I love it so so so so much!
If you look closely, the pink triangles have greyish blue dots- hence the name.
I really love all of Jansports backpacks, especially since they are so spacious and durable! (Not to mention adorable!) I have been using a Jansport, "Big Student" backpack for four years now, and I thought the "Digital Student" would make a nice upgrade! I loved the prints, and it has a separate laptop sleeve and pocket in the back to keep all electronics safe. You can look at the digital student backpacks, *here*
Those were my favorite items this month! Comment what you loved this month, or if you would like to learn more about any of the items I mentioned! I'm still working on the layout of this blog, so bear with me for a little while. :)
